How I Style My Favourite Velvet Dress

Hi Everyone,

Last month I wrote a post how everyone needs a piece of velvet in their wardrobe this Fall/Winter (see here), so it’s only fitting that I now too have a piece of velvet in my wardrobe. Actually a new piece as I have a few velvet blazers from the past few years. Confession – this dress is the second velvet dress I have ever owned. The first got liquidated years ago and I live to regret it!

Velvet is so easy it is to wear to absolutely every occasion without ever feeling over or under dressed. I am particularly in love with this new green velvet dress available online at Marina Anouilh.

This dress came to both Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks with me. As Milan had almost Summer temperatures, I also teamed it with white sneakers.

How I Style My Favourite Velvet Dress

During the day

Loving this dress so much means it really would be a shame to simply save it for best.

 

My favourite way to style it during the day is with biker boots and a smallish cross over bag.

I have also spotted a pair of fun embroidered knee high boots online here  which would also look super cute with this dress provided the belt was a different colour to match up with the boots.

 

For Date Night:

After Paris I met my Hubby in a beautiful castle in Burgundy for a romantic weekend. The perfect finish to 2 fabulous weeks of Fashion.
